If it’s made with that elastic-ish material, even better. Also do most of you run 1-points where the base of the buffer tube connects to the lower receiver?
Take a look at the Magpul MS4. It makes for a great one point, and when you get tired of your rifle hitting you in the knees it can be turned into a two point.
I like SOE slings for single-points. Running it at the end plate is how I’d do it.
That being said, I’ve moved so far away from single-points, so maybe there’s something new on the market of which I’m unaware.
I would just get a good 2 point and put a tri glide on it so I could switch between 1 and 2 point whenever I want. And in single point mode I would run it attached to the end plate.
Frankly, I really enjoy a two-point sling with the IWC triglide converter on it. I can then turn my favorite two pointers into a single pointers as needed. In that configuration, I’m a fan of both the VCAS and the Rifles Only Carbine Sling.
I went the economical route…bought a milspec nylon sling via eaby for $10 shipped that came along with 2 milspec triglides, basic push button qd sling loop and an Impact Weapon Systems QD Triglide…haven’t an issue yet. All my ARs have this set up. 2 point standard, 1 point in a jiffy. Save yourself a nice chunk of change or support US business…can’t go wrong either way.
I second that. Great system
Same here, I like the OSOE bungee single point sling as far as that type of sling goes, but I pretty use only 2 points any more. I would suggest a Vickers 221 sling. I 've got one but ended up never using the single point option so I removed the QD socket and am left with a QD VCAS.

Asking for sling recommendations is akin to the underwear/butt stock/pistol grip debate. You are going to get dozens of suggestions. I won’t use a single point ever again. They generally suck unless you are staying static and never plan on moving.
Sometimes you need to pick one and simply use it and find out.
To add to IG’s recommendation, get a cheap–yes cheap–sling in each of the variants, then see how the fit of each works out for you and your needs, then dump some cash into something reliable in the configuration that you like.
…just a thought. I work hard for my money and don’t like to spend it on stuff that will end up useless for me.
I guess 1-points appealed to me because of ease of movement and shoulder-switching. At least when I take classes as suggested on here, I planned on holding the rifle while slung for the majority of the day, so it didn’t seem like an issue, ie I wasn’t planning on writing tickets or handcuffing anyone
Shoulder transitions are easy enough with a properly setup two-point. One mount at the rear of the handguard, the other at the end plate or on the outter side of the stock works best for me.

Ask yourself, in reality how often do you switch shoulders vs. have use for both hands? A sling like the VCAS is quick adjust to allow shoulder transitioning if needed but is way more secure than any single point.
You may not be writing tickets or handcuffing anyone, but what about climbing a fence or other obstacle, lowering a child out a window to escape or dragging a wounded friend or family member?
This^ For that matter if you do something as simple as tripping and falling, you’re better off having the carbine closer to your body than dangling on a one point. After I discovered two-points, the only time I ever went back was when I was vehicle-mounted.
Just buy the vcas and the magpul. You will figure out what you like best. I started with the vcas, then realized I liked the single point better for class/run and gun.
When is a 3-point used?
When it’s 1994.

Can’t add any suggestion not already made.
My thoughts on single point at first were :
handy, easy to attach.
Now, my thoughts on single point slings are:
Pogo stick.

You’ve gotta try em out and see what you like, but I’ll vote for the MS4. Not as good as a Vickers or VTAC in two point configuration, but you always have the option for one point.
I actually hate the elastic/bungee style 1 points. I just switch to an MS3. Handy. Easy to run it 1 point and then 2 point during downtime and it doesn’t whack you in the knees. And getting hit in the knees over and over with a 500 degree muzzle sucks. And if you’re in a class for a whole day or three, you’ll want to go hands off the rifle a lot, just to relax.
