I think there is enough interest in the precision variants these days, SDM-R, SAM-R, SPR, etc along with the 308 M110, 6.5, etc rifles and calibers :smiley:

Would the existing the Precision Rifle forum work for you guys if the ā€œBolt Gunā€ subtitle was removed?

I was thinking that there are many bolt action options as well and it might get crowded, so to speak

Certainly as a new member here, my 2cents might not be worth what someone elses mightā€¦ But Iā€™d sure like to see a precision rifle section dedicated for AR and other autoloaders. Iā€™d surely contribute there.

we were discussing this today, actually, and i think itā€™d be fine to add semi autos to the current precision rifle forum. but, there might be some cross-posting, and confusion as to where some threads would belong - as everyone with a scope on their AR or .308 AR would seem to think itā€™s now a ā€˜precisionā€™ rifle.

uhh i hope im not booed down for this, but why not just use the current sub forum?it will serve the same purpose and isnt used as often as say the ar15 one.

I think it is a good idea, especially with Molonā€™s recent post about precision ARs being moved to the ā€œbolt gunā€ section.

If retros can get a sub-forum, I think precision guns should have one tooā€¦

This has been completed.

Now the ā€œSemi-Autoā€ and ā€œBolt Gunā€ guys have their own seperate forums. We will be moving threads to the proper forums over the next few days, but the sections are open and ready to use.
