Can I barrow an AK expert real quick.

I’ve been wanting to play around with my AK abit, finished my AR build I’d like to make my AK abit more “mine”. I want to put a AR stock adapter on there. Been looking around a tad bit. I have a SLR107f with the side folder. All of the stock adapters I’ve seen don’t look like they would fit on my AK, and if they did would fold to the right and make firing while folded rather messed up. So dose anyone know of an adapter that will fit onto my SLR and use the folding system it already has?

Please don’t do that to your AK. The Century Series folding stock is one of the best designs on any assault rifle.

If you insist on defiling your rifle, ACE Riflestocks has many adapters… though I don’t believe they have that particular one.

I know I know, I expected that response… Was just hoping there was something out there… I’ve had this extra magpul stock laying around for awhile that I’ve wanted to put to use. I promise not to defile it too much… Just alittle.

AFAIK, there are no adapters that would allow you to use a M4 collapsible stock on an AK that has an AKS-74 or AK-100 series stock.

Buy another AK with a fixed stock trunion or lean to love what you have…

I am not against modern upgrades to the Kalashnikov rifle. But changing out a very well made component for some other thing just… because… doesn’t make sens to me.

Let MagPul make an actual AK replacement folding stock and then try that out.

I get where you guys are coming from, just was hoping there was something I didn’t know about out there…

Hmm, Changes thread name to can I barrow the magpul boys real quick

  1. You already have the best folder to be had for an AK.
  2. It’s an AK, don’t try to make it an AR.
  3. If you absolutely got to have an folding AR stock on an AK, do as Templar says and buy another AK with a fixed stock trunion, cut off and file the tang and do your thing.

Take a digital countdown timer and set the time for the price paid for your AK. If you begin to make permanent changes to the stock and or receiver, start the countdown timer and watch the AK investment fade away…

In other words…

I try not to make any changes to a weapon permanent so that I can return it to it’s original condition without a headache and maximize my investment for a later sale date. You may find that you really don’t like the AR stock on the AK, then again you may like it a lot. Have you found one somewhere with an AR stock that you have had a chance to handle?

IMHO,
Scott

I have nothing wrong with proper changes to a firearm.

But as others have said, please don’t alter that stock. Find another AK to do that too.

The 107’s are getting harder and harder to find. However the standard stock varients (Legion series) are plentiful.

If you desire the other I’d suggest selling your’s to get what you really want.

Don’t do it.

If you want to go that route, buy a Saiga of your favorite caliber, convert it using basic tools using the AK-builder conversion parts, and put this stock adapter on it.

Do you have basic machining skills and a way to rivet?

+1 on leaving the folder alone.
