Wow this state has gone insane. I wonder who the ‘real’ beneficiaries of this carbon credit trading will be? Surely not the resident’s of that state.
These Cap and Trade programs are nothing but scams to put money in the hands of a select few…just like Al Gore who setup his business relationships, which if we ever got a national Cap and Trade program, he would stand to earn billions of dollars.
If this expands to the rest of the US like CARB’s influence did (FUCK YOU CALIFORNIA FOR STEALING MY USABLE GAS CANS) I will be royally pissed…the free cities in south America look better and better…hell it would be easier to live in China and just have to pay off all the officials to get shit done…
We can only hope that when this cap and trade drives manufacturing out of CA that people realize that is what would happen if we went to national system like this.
I don’t know why this suprises anyone…With the Calif. Legislature now a democratic supermajority, There is nothing to stop them from doing whatever they want to do…This is just the start…Expect much more economic lunacy, They’re going all out, to get everything they want, no matter how stupid,or how much it’ll hurt business…
The launch of the nation’s first economy-wide carbon market emphasizes once again California’s leadership in developing innovative energy policies," said Alex Jackson, an attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council.
And I bet they’ll be rewarded for this (as a state) by some idiotic reward such as The Nobel Peace Prize or Time Magazine’s Person of the Year. Gaining further momentum to carry on this pscyho policy.
Fuck California. If all the dope smoking, gay loving hippies that run that state want to live in the stone age, so be it.
I swear, a 50ft high containment wall should be built aroung that state like in Escape from New York. Want to live that hippie lifestyle or agree with the fucktards in charge? Fine. Stay in your own “socialist utopia”.
I just returned from a week long work visit to an office in Folsom, CA. I expected the economy and taxes, etc. to be a hot topic at break time and dinners. Nada. Everyone is blithely going along as if everything is just fine and have no interest in talking about these topics. Only a co-worker visiting from Brazil talked about his concerns there and having moved out of the city and building a more remote house with garden, chickens.
I chatted with a friendly Estonian cab driver over a an hour ride and he said gas had hit a high of $6/gal a while ago and it severely impacted businesses, but everything is kind of back to 'normal" Even the oblivious acknowledge the outflow of businesses. One of the Boys from Brazil asked our team why no one was at the mall in the evening. He said it the main mall was DESERTED at 7pm. The local workers just gave a blank stare.
Cap and trade ought to ratchet this up a it. More businesses closing or moving out of state and choking of commerce. I pray Obama does not bail them out, but I am sure he will eventually.
