If you are looking for ammo- especially 5.56 take a look at your local Cabelas if you have one. I just picked up some Federal M855 in a 300 round pack for 99.99 + tax. Then I was able to scrounge up a 10% off coupon so I ended up with 600 rounds out the door for 197.00.
I saw some good prices on 12ga. 00 buck and some 9MM as well.

I noticed from time to time they have the cheap Herters steel cased .223 stuff for $3.99/box. I don’t use steel cased, but that’s pretty cheap.

I ordered some of the M855 online a couple of weeks ago from Cabelas. 420 round for 149.99. I just tried to find it online now and they do not show it. I searched the site by the old product number and a message came up saying that I had to call in the order and could not order more online due to restrictions.
The Federal AE223 was cheaper last weekend. $0.299 per round. They had tons of it. And I like that stuff better than the 5.56 ammo coming out of Federal lately.
Damned Cabelas had all their powder priced as high as Bass Pro last weekend though. :rolleyes:
Pappabear has shot some of that Herters and I tried a little, but it otherwise I won’t use it. If I use any steel case it’s the Hornady stuff.

855 seems solid. The XM193 has been a little iffy lately.

2 weeks ago Cabelas had the 420 cans of 855 on sale (website) for $149.99 so I had my local retail Cabelas match the web price & they let me use a 20% off in store coupon that came in the mail. So I paid $119.99/can on 3 cans. 
They now have PMC for $6 a box.
This week they’re running 20% off reloading components and I was gonna pick up 8lb of Varget for $144 but they raised the price to $160 this morning. 500 count of SMK 77gr was $92 and now it’s $105.
Yeah. They raised the prices to Bass Pro’s absurd levels. :rolleyes:
