CA Govenor approves $24M gun confiscation program

http://gunssavelives.net/blog/gun-laws/breaking-ca-governor-approves-24-million-gun-confiscation-program/

“According to the LA Times, the money for the program will come from background check fees which come from revenue generated by California’s lengthy and complex process for purchasing a gun. So this massive gun confiscation is being paid for exclusively by law abiding gun owners.”

Right sure thing…

State gets approx 9 B+ from Fed which helped kicked the can down the road etc. it’s pretty obvious which states are on federal radar for inevitable control & containment.

Yeah…we will be safer…

It makes you wonder how many law enforcement officers, who could be doing other, legitimate duties, will die enforcing this crap because some politician only thought about passing some “feel good” liberal legislation instead of stopping to think about the needless chaos it may cause.

This needs to be watched carefully.

Any LEO who enforces this is a traitor. They do not deserve death, but they deserve prosecution.

There’s no possible way they can use this to target illegal guns.

The guns will be “illegal” when they deem the legal owners unworthy.

They enforce the laws of the People’s Republik. Which is a misfit state often confused to be part of the rest of America.

Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ecstatic about this!

I’ll be moving directly to California next week so I can be part of the new system known as utopia!

Welcome to California… Gun Free and Pedofile Friendly!

And that’s going on my sigline.

California’s gun friendly. The bad guys are armed to the freakin’ teeth.

Not to be a dick, but this brings to mind all the members who repeatedly claim that confiscation won’t work/happen because people will resist and/or good LEO will refuse to take people’s guns.

Truth is, most owners likely won’t resist and most cops will follow orders. The ones who don’t will be vilified as nut jobs and their lives and careers ruined or worse.

Pay attention here boys, if this goes easy without a big fight, many of you will see it coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

Go ahead, insert claims of “tinfoil talk” here:

You sir, have won!

The state will dictate who are the “Haves” and who are the “Have Nots.” I don’t see any due process with what has been written (This is not the first time this has been brought up about CA doing this).

The state will say who is a threat and who is not a threat, then put the threat(s) in a database and send out the police to confiscate their guns. This particular database has been around for a few years now in Cali. Not too long ago the PDs came out and said they don’t have the man power or the money to do the confiscations.

Viola…24 million dollars of taxpayer money shows up a few months later and they’re off to the races.

Anyone who believes there will be resistance by the gun owners or non-compliance by the police…I wouldn’t want to take a bet on that. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there will be some resistance and non-compliance.

But in the end, the state will win. Resistance will be met with force. Non-compliance will be met with prison and no job.

I think non-compliance (people hiding their guns or something) is likely. Resistance (armed resistance) is unlikely.

SCOTUS case is likely.

I think you nailed it. A lot of people are about to take up the hobby of “night gardening.”

This serves as a cautionary tale: DO NOT EVER, EVER REGISTER YOUR GUNS.

Couldn’t agree more.

How about CCW holders? That is a form of registration…

I suspect quite a few here are defacto “registered” having a CCW permit- no?

I regret every day signing up for my CHL. Should have just carried illegally, I’ve never been stopped or questioned anyway.

Then you’d get arrested if somebody attacked you and you defended yourself.

There’s only like 3 states you could do that in.

So what? I’d be alive. Whatever carrying charge that -may- get thrown at me seems pretty insignificant in comparison.

Any evidence of something like this ever happening? Self Defense is Self Defense as far as I can see.

Yeah, I’d rather be alive, and legally own a gun.

If it comes to de-facto registration, I’ll bury my guns where they won’t be found, and see what widespread reaction was.
