Saw the flyer for the Trident II at the C&S booth after talking to a lady there. I know it is now made with a C&S railed frame and C&S slide as opposed to Springfield Armory parts. Anyone have more info on it?
Been discussed here before. The II I would take as a new and improved model over the original (YMMV). You can also look @ 1911forum and search there as I believe there os a conseptual write up there. Just search and it should come up.

I’ve already seen that thread and even posted in it. But that is all about the Trident. I am talking about the new version, the Trident II.
I know what I need to know about the first pistol, just wondering if anyone has hands on experience with the new revision.
News to me, glad to see they are soon frames and slides now, looking forward to more info
I searched the internet a bit and found this http://ezine.m1911.org/showpost.php?p=743&postcount=7
Other than that I haven’t seen much else. Assuming Frogman is in involved in the process, they should be excellent pistols. Though I will say the original was $3500.00, so it will be interesting to see the price of the rail version.
I can’t imagine anything Frogman being involved not being top tier quality. Frogman is one of the few out there also who has used what he builds in the field, and he builds only (unless something radically changed i’m not aware of) tool grade 1911s he himself would be willing to use. He’s made 1911s for many HSLD types as one who been a “real world” user of 1911s and builder. My understanding, he’s a highly respected person within the SOF community.
Just adding the above in for those perhaps not familiar with Frogman 1911s.
For me, the short list of 1911s I’d want to have would be LAV, Yam, Frogman. Your mileage may. ![]()
I’m with you as that’s a nice list. I would add Jason Burton to that list as well. I wanted one of the original Tridents, but the cost was more than I could afford. Now that there’s a railed version, I really want one.
