After looking around on this site and seeing alot of BAD AZZ rifles, and all the work gone into them, got me curious on what you all use them for business or pleasure??
I would say that the vast majority are used for pleasure at first look, and that all could be used for business. Uncle Sugar gives me a carbine when on deployment and my full time employer issues me one as well. My own builds are very much preferred but that’s not an option. Keep in mind that many of the pleasure guns stand ready to defend the castle and that, to me counts as business as well. There’s also a lot of 3 gunners here that make bullets and prize money for their skills, again that’s business to me. And finally if used for pleasure to improve your ability to do either of the proceeding 2, business as well.
When your issued a rifle are they basic and you add what you want on it or is it all supplied?
While we may not all carry them into harms way, there are very very few “range guns” owned by the members here… kinda the point we are here instead of elsewhere…

I think that depends on how you’re defining “range gun.”
The tools of the trade are supplied…we can to a SMALL extent change some things but those are VERY limited and the unit dictates what you can and can’t pull off.
Tools are the definition of human innovation. The ability to use specialized tools is stimulating and economically significant. The difference between collecting things, like stamps, and employing tools is as much psychological as it is related to your profession 
Reminds me of what the Gunny in Full Metal Jacket said,
“This is my weapon, this is my gun. One is for killin and one is for FUN”.
i may not carry my weapon into harms way but I train with it to be able to deploy it in defense of my family if need be. Putting it together and training with it is pleasurable. The reason for it though is all business.
