Bushmaster Tactical Carbine Operators Course

Tier 1 Group

No offense Climber, thanks for posting the class. But the price seems kind of high to me , and knowing how Bushmaster rifles are received here, I can’t wait to see how a Bushy class will go over. That said I don’t know jack about Tier 1 Group, they may just be a tier 1 group.

Pat Rogers and LAV’s classes average $175-200 per day and are KNOWN quality courses taught by real world BTDT dudes. Who’s teaching for these guys and why do they cost so much more? Why would I spend $300/day for a training with a crap shoot quality rifle mfr sponsoring same or using their name?

How does this relate to the Bushmaster Carbine Course offered through Blackwater? (See below for info from their site.) Note the price is significantly less. No mention of instructors.

If there is a more expensive 5 day carbine course out there, I don’t know what it is. No round count is listed. I wonder how many B.M. rifles won’t make it to the end of the course?

Heavy emphisis on malfunction clearance?

It’s expensive because it will double as an armorer’s course:rolleyes:

I’m not too big on spending money for an unknown and they are pretty vague on who they have for instructors. Not too mention nearly double the cost per day of other “known” instructors.

Do believe this ties in with Bushmaster’s move away from BW and joining forces with Tier 1/Cerebrus.

If your going to be in the NC area I’d go with the Blackwater Course. They have a good rep and price Is obviously lower. I know Tier1 Is located in Jacksonville NC and Is probably a up coming company comprised of former Marines.
