I read on the other forum that these might be POF uppers, does anyone know if that is true? From what I read on 10-8 POF has come along way and Frank has been actively working to improve the POF. Kudos to him.
Bushmaster’s entry into gas pistons should be good for us, the consumers.
I don’t have a reliability problem with my regular carbines but if gas pistons are easier to clean (yes I’m lazy when it come to cleaning guns) I think I’d like to try one out.
POF is definitely a first choice, the Colts are at least 6 months out and the H&Ks are not an opinion so a Bushmaster/POF might be a perfect match to one of the Bushmaster lowers squirreled away in my safe.
There is no “certainty” with that person(s) ya know!! It’s kind of nice not seeing that other name in this thread.
That’s one thing I really like about this site so far. Names aren’t mentioned if they have an “iffy” rep. Frank’s upper has been mentioned because he’s been 100% professional so far. I think he deserves that very much.
I don’t see why the LMT wouldn’t fit up front there. The front gas block seems to be on the same elevation as the upper. FYI Simplydynamic is selling an LMT front sight for something like $40.
If I already had an SBR and wanted a new toy, I’d probably buy this upper in this config as well as SD’s LMT front site.
It looks like it would be a nice candidate for a suppressor as well…
