Bushmaster ACR in the SHOT Business magazine

On the back of the latest SHOT Business magazine
is an ad for the Bushmaster ACR. The ad shows it in black and FDE, with either the standard stock or folding. Also shows the standard handguard and the railed one.

Interesting.

No ugly erector set handguard, just the standard 1913 rail forend…GOOD!

And a plastic hand guard. NICE!

Release date…

Price…

Basic Config: fixed stock, plastic handguards
Enhanced Config: collapsible stock, rails

looks like they come with Magpul MBUS

Oh, my precious. You will be mine…

I’m in for the basic config. Sign me up!

I see neither version has the aluminum lower so you can swap grips. Bummer. Otherwise, awesome that we get the option for both stocks, awesome that we get the two handguards we wanted most, and awesome that it comes with iron sights!

Now please, please offer an SBR barrel group with the initial release or immediately after…

Hopefully the extensive use of polymer will cut down on the MSRP. I have no problem with a fixed grip so long as it is a good one. Bravo that they kept the upper receiver aluminum to vent heat well.

Damn it, I was really hoping that url would be live:p

Does anyone have any idea what the LOP on the fixed stock is?

Anyone care to guess what the MSRP will be on these?

If the price is right, this could knock everything else out of the market.

$2300

Hmmm… I was starting to dig the VTAC-style handguards. Oh well, the masses have spoken.

Lets hope $2300 is the loaded MSRP for the Remington military version with the folding stock, rail system and Troy sights. Trading those options out should dramatically cut down the price for the ‘basic’ model with fixed stock, Masada/MOE style polymer handguard and MBUS sights.

So whose driveway do I have to shovel to get on a wait list for one of these?

WOW, thats awful. i remember something about trying to price this thing competitively.

thats more than a scar.

i could have sworn someone or something said this was gonna be under 2k for sure.

$2300 is MSRP, the Ruger SR556 was “$2000” MSRP but dealers sold them for $1400-1500

All that polymer and they can’t keep the price under $2k? Makes the XCR at $1500 look better and better.

Im not gonna say much until they officially announce details it at SHOT show, I dont think anyone should take non official websites as written in stone

Magpul said it was going to be $1500. Anyone that actually believed that is incredibly naive. I’d love to be wrong however

$1500 for the base model would be more like it - could be a SCAR killer on the civilian market. Let guys upgrade at their own pace.
