Appears to offer “Steiner like” features. Since both come off of the same line, seems like a logical progression.
In the reticle description, daylight visible illumination is mentioned.

Dual focal plane on the 1.5-8 looks interesting.
I like all the features that the higher mag models have over the existing MTAC and XTR line, bummed that the 2-10 doesn’t have illumination though.
Being a happy 1-4 Tac30 and 1.5-6 MTAC user, I’m looking forward to handling them and seeing what the pricing will be like.
Interesting. I’ve been very happy with my Gen 1 XTR, but 1-5 version with the ballistic mil CQ reticle has my attention. I’ve been wanting to get away from a BDC and use something mil-based. Also, daylight visible illumination! Hope they’re priced similarly to how the original series was.
Here is to hoping that the 1.5-8 will eventually show up with the CQMil reticle instead of just the BDC.
Any idea when dealers will have these?
Discussion at sniper’s hide indicates these are all made in the Philippines. Steiners are made in Germany or USA depending on model. These should be nice scopes but not fully comparable to Steiner Military series. More likely competing against the Vortex Viper PST, Weaver Tactical, and some other scopes in the $1k range that offer a great feature set but maybe not the construction you want to bet your life on. Anyway, these look good and always nice to have more options.
Time will tell just like on the PST’s. Here is hoping that they do not have the same issues that the Vortex lower end scopes tend to have. The 4-20 looks like it could be a winner.
