Burris MTAC 1-4X24 question

I’m looking at one of these because the recticle seems like a good design for close up and farther out distance shots…

However my M-4gery i have has the front sight tower but flat top upper.

Will the front sight tower block the view through the scope?

Will paralax make the front sight tower irrelevant?

It will make the front sight blurry and feint even at 1X. The front sight should only be seen in the lower third of the optic if you use the PEPR mount.

You can go with the LaRue mount that is 1.93" high Vs the typical 1.5".
It’s the SPR/M4 1.93" LT135.

I’ve had one for 5 years or so, it works great. I puts the scope at the same height as a red dot with a 1/3 lower co witness.

Agree with Big Wall I have this set up on my M4 tried it with a friends LaRue SPR mount and the Burris PEPR mount both will work well. you will still have the blurred image of the front sight post but it will be well below the reticle. Great optic for the price, ballistic reticle works great for both M193 55gr and M855 62gr rounds.

At the number 1 setting you’ll see a blurry FSB and as you adjust upwards in magnification it will become more irrelevant, to the point of disappearing at the number 4 setting.

(my BDC reticle on my Burris XTR is built to work best with 62 grain ammo, but inside of 300 yards you can shoot the 55 grain stuff with relatively good accuracy.)

Thank all of you.

Zambowhite thanks for letting me know the front sight tower won’t interfere with the recticle, i was worried about the long range compensation dots.
