Burris AR Tripler

I ended up with a Burris AR-Tripler due to a misunderstanding and a lack of will to provide a refund.

I put it in a Larue LT649-T since I had planned on going with an Aimpoint 3x on of these days. It lines up very well behind a Bobro 180 Mount. It is a bit on the chunky side but I haven’t handled an Aimpoint 3x so I don’t really have anything to compare it too.

It is a bit of a pain in the ass to mount since the front ring is 30.7 mm. Burris provides a free screw which you can use to expand the opening on the Larue mount. Once that is done the rest is pretty straight forward.

It is pretty nice as you can adjust it to center the dot if there is any misalignment with the forward optic.

I’ve had it out to the range a few times and it’s seen about 500 rds so far. I was shooting groups under 1.5"'s today at 100 yds from a rest. With my eyesight I would never be able to get that tight unmagnified at 100 yds. It appears to be pretty durable.

Nice looking setup.

Good Info … I just got one to put on my LMT. I just need to figure out what red dot I want. Thought I wanted a Burris Fast Fire II … decided to put it on something else. Decisions, Decisions …:D.

How is the image quality? is it on par with the standard riflescopes?

Just checking to see what opinion either of you have on the Tripler now that’s it’s been about a year later. Still holding up well?

So it’s a magnifier?

What’s up with the turrets then?

Exactly what I was thinking!

I believe I read somewhere that they allow you to compensate for slight variations in lens centering, so you can dial the dot in to the center of the magnifier.

I have never used one, but I recall reading that a while ago.
