Jagdkommando was gracious enough to send me a STG-556 for T&E last year for the Vickers M4 Mod/Staff class. Ran 1200 rds. through it, 400 of Prvi Partisan M193, 400 of Federal XM193, and 400 of USGI surplus M193 circa 1972. Nary a bobble…100%.
Compared to a Polish PMKMS folding stock AKMS…
Compared to HK G36C and 416.
And compared to my Colt 6920.

Templar: what kind of light mount do you have on your AUG? I have a MSAR, and I’m wondering if I could use the same one.

Killjoy, that is a Vltor offset light mount that I took off of my Arsenal Inc. SLR-106’s Ultimak rail.
It was less than ideal, but I got the carbine in the day before a class to T&E and didn’t have any other options.
If I had an AUG type carbine, I’d mount the light as far forward as I could get it, and in this instance, I’d probably run a pressure switch back to the receiver that I could activate with my support hand.
