Bulk flashlights that dont suck

Think about LED head lamps for hand free lights.

I have 4 of the Harbor Freight headlamps mentioned and they aren’t the best over time. You get what you pay for at Harbor freight.

Maybe a little off the ‘Bulk Flashlight’ topic, but has anybody tried one of the oft-advertised wind-up flashlight-radio-gizmos? Are they reliable? Are there any that aren’t made in China?

I consider my streamlight flashlights my cheap go to lights. They work every time. I bought costco ones a couple years back and took one camping overnight fishing and it quit and I didn’t pack my good one so I had to find fallen fire timber in the dark. I’m done with no name brand lights. Surefire and streamlight for me

Was in Home Depot today and they have their special purchase items out for sale already, so looking they have a improved two pack of Defiant Cree LED 120 lumen (FL 1 standard) 3X"AAA" flashlights.

I have last years version of this product which is only 88 Lumen but is still plenty bright with a three and a half hour run time with 200 meter light throw. My family has beat the crap out of these lights and all of them are still going strong after abnormal abuse.

The new version has a improved Cree Led and reflector with a five hour run time and a better distance throw for $9.99 per two pack.

I purchased five packs to up graded the older version LED lights in are kits and will keep the replaced lights for general family use.

The answer would be no. I have one and the wind up charger doesn’t work for very long on the flashlight especially. I just keep batteries in mine and call it a day. It has been a pretty decent radio during storms though.

As for made in outside of China stuff, not sure.
