I dunno, something funky the last few days with Imgur I guess, pics don’t post as pics but as links. Is that how everyone else sees them?
Anyway-- this was, of course, a squib. The when and how is lost to the owner becuse it wasn’t noticed and many rounds were fired post-bulge. In fact after discovering it, and the heinous cracks on the outside, the owner continued shooting it just to see what would happen. Well… nothing, other than smoke-smudging in the flutes where the cracks were. Barrel was contained in a steel fore end so less risk that some setups, perhaps.
I fluted this barrel, a few years back. At its thinnest it is way thicker than many compact 9mm pistol barrels.
Thanks Disciple.
