an AK47 7.62x39. My buddy who might build one soon so i may go ahead and do it. Although i don’t have the tools or a clue on how to build one let alone where to buy all the necessary parts.
Any how i will buy all the necessary parts and wait if there is a build party or someone on calguns who has experience building good quality looking ak’s maybe that person would be nice enough to help me or put one together (sacramento area):43:.

So where to start? Where can i get good quality barrel, receivers and the parts kit(hopefully buy matching kits if possible)?

As for coating the AK i don’t have the tools or experience to do this. I guess i can buy the coating (better than what arsenal coats there AK’s with).

One of the mods on here is very knowledgeable about AKs. You should be able to find him in the forum that talks about M14s and such. He’ll probably be in any AK search you do. He’d recommend just buying an Arsenal I believe.

I wouldn’t try to build an AK from a parts kit if you dont have any clue what your doing. AK’s arent completely interchangeable, headspacing is very necessary and will require someone who knows what there doing.

If you want an AK to tinker with convert a saiga.

I would echo the previous sentiment. As someone who’s delved into AK building without the right knowledge or equipment, you’re better off starting small. Work on an already built AK.

It’s not like throwing an M4 together.
