I am thinking about building an AR15 (first one) and I was curious if anyone has ever tried to fit a Bravo Company Upper on a Aero Precision lower? From what I see so far most of the parts I like either come from Bravo Company, J Enterprise or Daniel Defense. Needless to say, it will take a couple of years to out together my tactical rifle.
Why not just buy an $800 colt?

They will fit together as well as any other upper and lower. They might be slightly tight or slightly loose, but that is the nature of the AR.
If the OP is saying it’ll take a couple years to put together his first AR, we can assume it’s because he needs to accumulate the parts over time and it’s not within his current budget to drop that amount of money on a factory gun at this point.
OP, read and learn as much as you can before you start dropping coin on parts. Save your money in the meantime. You will need to accumulate the right tools, quality parts, and gain a significant amount of knowledge before you start throwing those parts together. A simple solution would be to buy a complete upper and lower from reputable manufacturers. However, slapping together an upper and lower does not constitute “building” an AR. If you truly intend to piece the parts together yourself, you’ll want to invest the time, money and energy in learning how to do it right. You’ll gain a lot of knowledge in the process by going this route, and arguably, it’ll be more rewarding. Ask a lot of questions.
