So i ordered an upper and a lower reciever for my first build. I’ve been reading how some uppers will have the M4 feed ramps and others do not???

What does that really mean, when I go look for a barrel for my build, never built one so don’t know what it actually means. The Upper that I orders says it “features extended M4 feed ramps” .

Here’s with and without m4 cuts in the barrel extension

with and without m4’s in the upper receiver

m4 feedramps on an assembled weapon

No m4’s on an assembled weapon

you have to have m4’s in your barrel extension if you have m4s in your receiver. you don’t have to have m4s in your receiver if you have m4s in your barrel extension.
