Buffer weight with suppressor and Adjustible gas port?

I am going to replace my bolt buffer since it was damaged by a broken buffer retaining pin. (Thanks for all the great suggestions on that).

My rifle is 20 inch with rifle length gas port. Carbine stock. 3.8 oz H buffer used currently. since I have an adjustible gas port, does the weight of the buffer really matter?

with ammo and daylight scope, all up wieght is 10.7 pounds with sling, bipod, flashlight etc. Night scope adds 2 pounds.

I use 9 clicks on gas port with suppressor and 11 without to lock back bolt carrier when a single round is fired from magazine.

H2 is closest to the Rifle buffer system. Now if your gas port is over-sized or something… no telling what is optimal.

I have an .093 gas port on a Lothar Walther 1-8 twist barrel. But and adjustable gas port (Syrac gen 2), so am never over gassed. Makes sense (to me) to use a rifle length weight in a 20 inch rifle w rifle gas port even if I have a carbine stock? that means 4.6 oz Colt H2 or 4.1 oz Spikes with tungsten powder rather than weights. If I short stroke I can turn up gas but should not have too?

I would use the H3 buffer and I wouldn’t the Spike’s at all.
