Right now I have a Tapco T6 stock, buffer, and spring. Later I plan on getting a Magpul CTR stock and milspec tube. Will the Tapco buffer and spring work well with a LMT 16" upper and LMT standard M16 BCG? Not sure what type of ammo I will be using. What is the best type of buffer and spring?
While I don’t know the quality of Tapco’s parts, the buffer/spring will fit into the milspec tube. The question of working is to broad to answer as we don’t know what barrel length/ammo combo.
You shouldn’t have any issues. If buying replacement, standard parts from a good supplier will be fine.
I would get the new parts to cancel out the worries.
I will probably get the CTR mil-spec package from G&R. It comes with a heavy buffer and ISMI CS buffer spring. I was looking at different buffers and springs online. I was wondering if you guys could explain the difference in the buffers and springs. Heavy, H, H2, H3, etc.
