Buffer/Spring; Gas Ring Questions

I tried some searches but didn’t turn up anything, please direct me if the resource alsready exists.

I have an Armalite AR-10T 16" upper (carbine gas) sitting on an Armalite AR-10T lower that originally hosted an Armalite AR-10T 24" upper. The lower is set up, I assume from the factory, with a 9 3/4’ A2 buffer tube, recoil spring measuring 13 7/8" relaxed with 32 coils and the buffer is 5.4 oz at 5 1/2" long. The recoil impulse has a distinct bottoming out pulse and as I’m not very familiar with the AR-10 system I wanted to run it by the crew here to see if everything was close to a good starting point.

ETA: My question is will the buffer/spring combo described above be OK to run with a 16" carbine-gas .308 AR?

Also the bolt will move freely in the carrier with gravity as the only motivator. Is this common with the AR-10 system? The gun seems to get drier quicker than any 5.56 that I’ve run if that matters.

Thanks,
Keith

Just measured the A2 buffer that came out of my Armalite AR10. It is 5 3/16" long.
Spring is a 32 coil, 13.5" end to end. these were removed from a new, unfired AR10 A4F
