My brand spankin new unfired setup,is a 20" A4 upper on a LMT Defender lower with collapsible stock. The ammo Im going to be using will be .223 Rem spec. pressure, with some 5.56 NATO thrown into the mix from time to time.
What weight buffer would or do yall run on this type setup?
Ive read here in my search that Colt Canada uses the H2 in the builds they do in this configuration.
Any thoughts fella’s?
TIA
I’d use a CAR (3.0oz) buffer.
1st think of why heavier than CAR buffers were designed and 2nd think about what ammo Canada uses which is C77 and is 5.56mm NATO in pressure levels…
gotm4,
Thanks for the info.
I ran the CAR buffer using BH ammo and it cycled perfectly.I did try the H buffer just for the heck of it with the BH ammo and the rifle functioned fine but failed to lock the bolt back on a empty mag a couple times.Seemed to be cycling slower and increased felt recoil(more of a push) as well.
I tried some Privi 5.56 and the rifle functioned 100% with the CAR and H buffer.
So you were right on the money once again.
