Brownells Discrete Rifle Bag

Anyone else get this email? Anyone seen one first hand?

Brownells Discrete Rifle Bag

Got the e-mail but haven’t seen one firsthand. It looks to me like a cross between the Cav Arms discreet bag and the SoTech Go-Bag. It’s unfortunate that Brownell’s doesn’t have any decent pictures.

It’s looks interesting and has potential, I’ll be keeping my eye out for impressions from early adopters.

I think it is exact copy of the cavarms bag.

price was kinda high

I thought so too. I think the price of nylon gear across the board has gotten rather ridiculous frankly.

check out this case. talk about discrete.

Guys, there’s already dozens of threads on discrete bags, and I’m sure like most of you I already own several. I started this new thread to see if anyone had seen, or had more pictures of, the Brownells bag, not to rehash the same old “I use this bag” kind of thread.

Rob,
I saw the ad for the Brownell’s bag. I DO have the CAVARMS bag, and it is great. I’ve used it for about three years now. When I lived in an apartment, it was great for low pro carry up to the pad and down to the car.

If the Brownell’s bag is an analog of it, it’ll work.

Cost of materials keeps going WAY up, cost of living and wages keep going up, Utilities Keep going up, Everything is increasing in price constantly…
I wish there was a way to keep the prices down, but to do so would cut our throats…
We could pull a Blackhawk and move all manufacturing overseas and make bank, but there goes quality and American Jobs…
US Materials, with US Labor ain’t cheap… Especially with the amount of detail we put into our products, it takes a little bit longer to sew a pouch right, so it lasts the long haul…

I have the CavArms bag that this looks like an exact copy of. I used it with my Yugo underfolder briefly. The Yugo fit in it perfectly length-wise. There are zippers on the sides of the bag that run the length of the bag, and there is stitching that divides this long pocket into 3 separate pockets. This is where the problem is using it for the AK, AK mags don’t fit in these pockets. I used the velcro divider that comes inside the case to keep the AK apart from the 5 30 rounders that I put on the other side of the divider. Using it for a folding AK is kinda half assed. On the other hand, the side pockets will snugly fit a loaded 30 round PMag. I don’t have a SBR to try in it, but a 16 inch AR broken down fits well with the divider keeping the halves separate.
