Brett Favre 2007 Sportsman of the Year

The 38-year-old Favre joins fellow quarterbacks Terry Bradshaw (1979), Joe Montana (1990) and Tom Brady (2005) as recipients of the award, given to an athlete who symbolizes the ideals of sportsmanship.

“You do that by setting an example, by doing things the right way. I’ve always shown up, I’ve always been prepared, I practice every day,” Favre said. “I practice hard. I study. No matter what happens on the field, I never point blame at anybody else. Everything I do comes back to leadership, the example I want to set.”

I think these are words to live by!

I agree with that. He had some rough times and did some bad stuff but came back from it and is just as good.

Brett Favre is the MAN!

A great player and a great person. Go Pack Go!!

I’m a STEELERS fan, always have been, always will. But, Brett Favre has always been one of my favorite players of all time. He’s a class act.

Same on all counts.

BTW…

I can’t wait for my Ravens to whoop the Steelers for our last game of the year

Farve is a great man indeed. (He is humble and cordial with his fans as well.)

Maybe they can make excuses why they hold, dont communicate, call bad time outs, and can’t get a first down in the fourth quarter? Oh those Ravens  !

Its such a Conspiracy !

Oh and Yes well deserved award !

Don’t get me started on bad calls. I was at the UCF championship game. Tulsa ran out the play clock 3 times. I could look up at the clock see 0 then look at the line then see the ball hiked and the refs never called it. We still won though.

If he could just pronounce his name correctly!:stuck_out_tongue:
