Breaking up Unused Portions of Gear with PALS

Looking to break up the clad ranger green backpack I have and inquiring if there are commercially available strips one can weave through the unused portions of PALS webbing? I am thinking of making my own strips somehow, but would rather buy something already in production for this purpose. (I know attaching pouches and other gear is an option, but looking to keep the weight down as well)

Either this …

or I have no idea what you are talking about.

For camouflage?

I guess that would work. Thanks.

Burlap

Either just spray paint it and call it good or use rubber bands and natural vegitation. http://www.tacticalconcealment.com/ has some pre made ghillie suit materials that can work depending on you envt but natural veg is much more effective. Also not much point in doing up your backpack with all that stuff if the rest of you isnt done the same way. Spray paint works pretty good.

I weave 1" tubular webbing into the MOLLE on the back of my plate carrier so some is available when needed. That changes the color but isn’t there for camo purposes…

KRYLON

Spray paint, eh? How well does it adhere to the nylon and how often do you have to reapply?

It stays on pretty well. I’ve never had to respray my packs (they’re black)

Good to know, thanks!
