We’re reaching a sad state of affairs in this country when a person can’t express his/her views without fear of some retaliation. I have a friend who is employed by the G4S Wackenhut Corporation as an Armed Security Officer in South Florida and was assigned to “Jared The Galleria of Jewelry” in Pembroke Pines, FL. He was assigned there during the Presidential elections. Everyone in the store knew that he was very pro-second ammendment and in dissagreement with Obama’s philosophies. Not because he volunteered it, but because he was asked by an African American female one day.
This female sent an anonymous letter to Jarred’s Human Resources threatening a law suit from all employees at this store if my friend was not removed from there because they knew he owned “assault weapons” and they did not feel safe with him in the store. This guy had prpbably prevented at least 2 armed robberies in the store. The funny thing is that letter was signed "the employees of Jarred’s, but no actual signatures. Needless to say, Jarred’s asked Wackenhut to remove him from the store. Wackenhut sent him to a location with lower pay and to add insult to injury, the operations manager told my friend that he was prohibited from expressing any of his political views or talk about his position on guns or his ownership of guns. It doesn’t end there, the other day he visited the store to talk to his former partner, who is still posted there and the guy painfully told him that the store manager had told him to tell my friend that he was not allowed to come by the store any more.
We need to rally behind this second ammendment brother and boycott Jarred The Galleria Of Jewelry. If there are any lawyers in here, please your legal opinions are appreciated. My friend is considering a lawsuit against both Wackenhut Corp and Jarred’s. Political views are protected under the Civil Rights Act. We need to hit this business and others like it where it hurts them most, their pocket, and send the message that those of us that exercise the most precious right in our contitution will not be trampled on.
