looking at this package. anyone know if the mount returns to zero?

Mine does. I made sure I marked the spot on the rail where it went.

i’ve been told that they dont return to zero. also, i see that you tighten a wingnut down to fasten the mount to the rifle. is it secure?

I don’t have any complaints with it. I originally got it until I could replace it with a better mount. But I have not had any issues.
