I posted on hkpro questioning whether his account was hacked, but it might actually be for real. If your not familiar, this is probably the finest HK collection in the world in private hands. I’m still shocked. If it is for real, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for buyers in the market for some of the rarest/best HK products.
Does he have a P7M7? ![]()
He has everything…
I don’t see a P7M7 though… I thought he had one of them.
Not that I could afford it but do you have a link to something saying it’s up for sale? His collection is nothing short of amazing, I can’t imagine the cost of assembling it!
Its on HKpro, I wasn’t sure if it was OK to link the other forum directly.
He posted the sale link in pistols and the long gun sections.
I am actually really sad to see this collection being sold, I really enjoyed seeing all of that put together the way he did. It is decades worth of love and work to assemble something like this.
Yeah, I too was kinda saddened. But it is a long way from being the most comprehensive collection in private hands. He has some significant pieces for sure, but I’ve seen much larger HK collections.
And none of them come close to the Reed Knight collection.
The timing is also pretty bad on this. If he had offered it up during the great Obama Gun Sale he’d be sitting pretty.
Thanks for sharing the linky.
Some guy’s have all the fun. . . ![]()
that is a hell of a nice collection.
what do you guys suppose that’s all worth?
I don’t think HK makes much of anything that’s worth less than 700 bucks.
There are a couple of guns I would really like to own from his collection, but I’m almost afraid to ask. I’m mentally preparing myself to hear a very large number when I finally make the decision to try to go for it.
How much is all that worth? A few million, at least, right?
When he offered it on Sturm (for the 30 seconds before Buddy zapped it) he was asking $450k for everything.
If it went for sale during the Obama scare he probably could have asked for a million.
That is a wonderful collection but its missing quite a bit of both long guns and handguns. No doubt still awesome:)
And would have gotten it.
“Serial numbers ranged from 90-025 to 90-510. 90-001 to 90-024 are in caliber 7.65x21.5 and were made in 1973.”
Well I’ll be dipped in s&%t. I have one of the 7.65s. Didn’t know how many there were.![]()
Oh wow. I figured with the rarity of some of those that they would go for a lot more.
The rare pieces will still command some value but this is the worst time to dump a collection:sad:
I am not up to full speed on HK’s but I remember seeing HK clones going for 2-3 times for what they are going for now during the Obama rush. I could only imagine what the originals and the rare peaces would have gone for .
