Something I found at a reasonable price ~$40US and small form factor. Will remove and torque to 65in/lbs.
Geissele mounts require 72 inch-pounds if I remember correctly.

I like mine also. IMHO, torquing to 65 inch pounds should be just fine. Badger Ordnance uses 65 inch lbs and Nightforce use 68 inch lbs on their 1/2" inch nuts on their scope rings and mounts.
Geissele mount instructions:
The final step is to tighten the clamping nuts on the mount to the rifle. This can be completed using a 1⁄2” box- end wrench. Final torque is reached when the wrench is 1⁄4 turn past hand tight. If using a torque wrench is preferred, the torque value should not exceed 6 foot- pounds or 72 inch-pounds to prevent damage to the receiver. Note, if removing and re-installing in the field is required; a torque wrench is not necessary. Any method of attaching the mount, such as pliers or a wrench, will be sufficient for returning to the optic’s zero.
Actually Geissele states their mounts don’t require any specific torque, 1/4 turn past hand tight with a max spec of 72in/lbs. Leupold T-handle limiter is 65in/lbs @~$150US. NF T-handle is 68in/lbs @~$87US.
I would buy the adjustable kit even at 3 times the single limiter price. The exceptions would be… If I never intended to use any other than one setting or in production where speed means $$$.
I use this limiter for attaching/detaching geissele mounts to upper receivers. I have one of their adjustable kits for everything else. The limiter I posted is compact enough for range bag/field use and way less expensive than the alternatives.
I have an original Borka adjustable torque and it’s great.
A 10-150 in/lb 1/4 click torque wrench runs about $50 on Amazon, and would be more versatile for installations at home.
To me, re-checking mounts after travelling to a match or hunt is where the
Borka would shine.

I have a couple of these setups. A little spendier than the Borka setup above but with a higher quality mini ratchet with more utility in my range kit. I also prefer to use this at home then dialing up my adjustable Wheeler, then dialing it back down before putting it away.

65lb Fix it Stick
The fix it stick comes with the 1/2" socket.
Based on my testing, you need to pick a number and stick with it. If that’s 50, ok, if that’s 60, ok, if that’s 68.729, ok. But don’t go thinking your groups won’t walk around if you vary it. Geissele hasn’t done anything special that I or anyone who has tested them can see, that I am aware of.
Confused, that list was simply a comparison of available, similar torque limiting tools and cost. My chosen and consistently applied torque on my mounts is 65in/lbs. The reference to 1/4 turn past hand right is straight out of geissele’s literature.
I am sure if you stick with 1/4 turn past, you will be fine. Torque to angle is superior to torque to poundage, anyways. That said, I press the easy button and do what you do. 65 in-lb. Whether it’s G mount, NF, or whatever (as long as that’s within its parameters).
This is a timely thread, I’m in the market for a inch pound torque wrench/handle, bring on the info.
I assume (bad I know) the quality ones all accept Magna-Tips??

When I was looking around, a few years ago, I saw a lot of people were recommending the Wheeler FAT wrench.
Other than the price, I can’t comment because I don’t own one. I ended up getting the Borka set.

This is a Borka 10-85 in/lb set that works by break-over, set at 15 in/lbs. I use this set on the bench at home and use the torque limiter out of my range bag in the field for attaching/detaching mounted scopes/aimpoint. All my mounts are Geissele.
Interesting, I’m in the market for one as well, initially was checking out the Borka and Fix-it sticks.
Then I saw that Fix-it has this new all-in-one model that covers 15/25/35/45/55/65 in one compact little tool, you can pre-order for $89, but this is cheaper than then typically $160 to $180 pricing for the online collections of Fix-it sticks that have not even all of these six settings, you see the current kits at places like Midway, Triad Tactical, etc., but this looks better and if you’re willing to take the chance on pre-ordering, it’s more economical and more compact in your range bag.

Also I just ran across this Seekonk at Brownells, pretty deluxe 1 to 75 in inch pounds completely variable, and supposed to be accurate. But pricey. Anybody tried it?
