I am a former BP Agent and I have seen about a dozen different vests on the show, from issue armor carriers to LBV’s. You are going to need to post a picture.
What makes you think a tac-vest covered in velcro will help you hunt Turkeys?
My advice is if you want a good Turkey hunting vest, go to a hunting forum and ask who makes the best. I realize I may come off as being a dick but you are in “Tactical Gear Forum” trying to figure out what gear BP agents wear on a TV show so you can put turkey calls in mag pouches…
Black is the only wavelength of light that the cones and rods in the Turkey’s eyes will not absorb so I would suggest sticking with all black apparel. Stay away from the airsoft style stuff the border patrol wears to make themselves look good, I find that Crye Precision makes the best equipment chassis for late season turkey hunts. Also surplus MOPP suits tend to make the best turkey hunting undergarments as the activated carbon linings help to absorbs sounds you emit. You should look at the .300 AAC Blackout as it helps prevent early notification of follow on turkeys as well as giving you the intermediate range engagement envelope you may need for the more cautious late season survivors. If you need a good taxidermist let me know as I have an intel buddy who can make you a baller ass turkey mount.
