ordering a N4 Recce. looking to get a LMT BCG for back up. do i need to check the headspacing? could i essentially use the LMT BCG straight away on the new rifle since the bolt/barrel is new? any issues?

I put this very question to LM&T and they told me they swap many BCGs between uppers in their factory and have not had any problems. I did buy a field grade chamber gage but my extra LM&T BCG had no problems but I did like being able to confirm all was GTG.![]()
Just pop the new one in you will be fine. You said back up and if you are using the new Bolt later down the line its always a good idea to check your head space first. If they are both virgin items go for it.
