a simple question…
can excessive quantity of oil /grease in the receiver/bolt cause a bolt failure to lock at the empty mag?

I have never heard of this being the case.
Questions:
Does it exhibit this behavior with all ammo types?
Does it exhibit this behavior with all magazine types?

i tryed only Barnaul ammo
and 2 different mags.
they i took air compressor and cleaned the upper receiver from all the oil …it was really too much…
tryed 3 or 4 times with both mags and it worked…
how can i know if i have a gas leack somewhere???
What upper are you running and how many rounds have you put through it? What buffer are you using? What BCG are you using? How often has/does this problem occur?
Not likely. There’s whole list of potential issues that I’d look at before that…
How much lube are you puting in there?
the rifle is a 16" bushmaster
with… mmm 3000 rounds shooted.
the bolt is a bushmaster
the stock, buffer tube, spring and buffer is a vltor
i changed the delta rings 3 weeks ago with a dpms 1 piece rings
the rifle was cleaned and i shot only 100 rounds…maybe less
i used a usgi mag and a magpul mag
i removed 1 hour ago the delta and the gas tube and cleaned it
the gas tube, where it go into the gas key, is black only on the top of the tube.
i dont know if it mean some problems.
the gas key is stacked on the carried and doesnt move.
the rifle feed good, shoot good, the problem is only at last round
i shooted few mags tonight.
then the problem occoured, so i tryed the usgi mag. same problem
i tryed 3 time with 2 rounds for mag…then i
took air compressor , removed the bolt and cleaned with air the upper received.
tryed 2 ammo for mags, both mags for 3 or 4 times and no problems occoured…
so
my question about oil…
now i need to do some test…
i got same problems 3 monts ago andi discovered my enidine recoil buffer was gone…so i use the buffer spring again with no problem except tonight
well the gas ring is new and this is the second time i use it.

So it used to run fine before you changed some things? When it ran fine, did you use the same type of ammo and the same 2 mags? If so, I would then look to whatever you changed on the rifle as the source of the problem rather than too much lube. Incidentally, what type of lube are we talking about here?

the gas pipe was worn…
probably not allineate with the gas key, the bottom part was smooth so loose gas…
i replaced the pipe and my little baby is ok
Gas tube should be fine at 3k unless you are doing some crazy mag dumps. Most likely it was another issue with the re installation…also gas tubes do not need to be “cleaned”.
