Body armor laws

Didn’t quite know where to post this thread.

I keep some Kevlar panels in my vertx packs. Whenever I travel I always take them out. Always just assumed I wouldn’t be allowed to fly with them or they may be a red flag.

Curious if anyone flies with bullet proof panels in their packs?

Thanks!

Never had an issue in mine through TSA or other security checkpoints, only a few have ever even noticed it.
Functionally, it’s a soft frame sheet. Use that with anyone nosy enough to ask.

Body armor is permitted as a carry on item for U.S. domestic flights. I have an SKB 3I-2011 wheeled carry on case for a set of Hesco 3610 Level 3+ composite plates. I don’t want them getting tossed around in my checked luggage.
