Blue Line BL18

First post on here an it’s about a shotgun :joy: Impulse purchase from Classic Firearms, after it was all said and done $175 for a Chinese 870 clone. Have to say it’s solid. Replaced the stock furniture for Magpul, and added esstac shotgun card. Don’t think I will do much more maybe a sling.

I am going to run buckshot through it this week to break it in. So far I am impressed with the quality, finish does suck though, (surface rust).

I have one stashed, the prices were/are too good to not grab one for posterity.

Seems like a reasonably serviceable shotty for cheap. Report back on how it runs.

I’ve got mossy 500’s stacked like cord wood so I ain’t really in need but if they run ok I know folks who could use a cheap pump.

That’s a good idea, kinda like the $75 SKS years ago. Wish I would have stacked those.

I bought two $200 Chinese 870’s a few years ago.

One the real aperture sight screws sheared so it came off the shafts were stuck in the receiver.

The other lasted about 750 rounds before the apparently non-heat-treated carrier rails were ground away until the carrier had little to ride on and would jam up badly.

The 1st ones rails were probably headed that way, too. I sold it for $100. The other one i disassembled, pounded the receiver with a hammer to destroy it, and threw it in the garbage.

Good luck with y’all’s, though.

I still have 2, i cleaned the cosmoline off, test fired and stuffed them back in the safe. They are the yuga m59/66A1’s

That’s my experience with the H&R’s like 10 years ago. They were am 870 clone for $150. IT didnt last a summer, plan on using it as a beater bird gun, It never made it past 1000 rounds.

I’ve hsd about 5 SKS’s. Most recently a year or two ago.
They are reliable and slightly more accurate than an AK in the 200-250 yd 7.62 cartridge.
But the stock wrist shape isn’t comfortable and the trigger is the longest, creepiest, junk I’ve ever felt on a rifle & it’s every one of them.
It was a great rifle for the poors. But having one again after 20 years apart i sold it after two range visits.

I am the other way, I prefered the SKS over the AK, It handled better to me. And could be charged with stripper clips when converted to ak style mags
