What, Nobody’s ever done this to a 14.5" Barrel ?
I have a Vortex that has 2 holes drilled in it for 1/8" pins. Thread onto barrel, drill into the threads just a little, drive pins in, then weld over.
It is for sale btw, my Colt 14.5" barrel came with a phantom already done this way.
Just asking so don’t flame me, But Can you use JB Weld to close the hole up
No, ATF says 1100 (?) degree silver solder or welding it as the only option. But a mig weld over the pin does not get the FH or barrel too hot if that’s your concern.
Oh and another great thing about this site, no flaming, maybe some good natured ribbing but no flaming.

Hey Guy’s, Just want to ask a question. Do you have to have a washer(Steel,Crush) when Pinning on a Flash Hider ? If it lines up without one is that ok ? Does it Matter
No you don’t need one.
