I would like to start an AR build and i was wondering if anyone had experience with Black Rain Ordnance? The quality of their receivers LOOKS nice but if anyone could shed some light on the subject I would appreciate it.

The ones that I have seen through the shop up here have been really nice. The upper and lower are a nice tight fit. They are a good system for being a billet upper and lower. Not over priced like other billet systems I have seen.
I havent had the chance to see one in person yet. Just been checking them out online. Any suggestions for a better billet upper?? I was thinking about LaRue or SI tactical…

I saw them at SHOT, nice guys. Their lowers seemed cool, they had the skull coated one. Didn’t really look at it too long cause it was on my way out.

Idk. I haven’t really heard anything about them…maybe i should just go with BCM. I’m kinda short on funding right now so i’ve got plenty of time to make up my mind. Lol
I have an upper and lower on my latest build and it has been fantastic. Fit and finish is very good imo.
I don’t know much about them other than they have a really cool shape/design and are made in my home state here in Missouri…
Funny that I see this, I was down at my cabin this weekend in Southern Missouri (not far below Park Hills) and we found this new shop called Cedar Falls Tactical, the place is like AR Heaven!!! They had tons of complete custom builds, a few off the shlf stock ones from players like DPMS and uppers and lowers from several makers including Black Rain Ord, and a few pistol builds too…
Anyway the Black Rain upper/Lower set, looked to be the nicest set I’ve ever seen… Never used one though so I can’t speak 1st hand yet…
Yet being the key there, I think I see one in my future…

I’d like to pick upa matched set Upper/Lower for a future build (as well as a few other brands I dig) but I have to many irons in the fire now…
