Most probably would be admitted to the ER, but that isn’t a fair basis for judgment of efficacy. If a guy kills me but has to go to the ER for his injuries, I still die.
I think Caduceus makes a good point about clothing. Birdshot would be affected by heavy clothing much more than heavier pellets or projectiles would be.
Of course, and nothing I said would conflict with that.
Again, I was just responding to the suggestion that getting shot with birdshot can’t be a serious or fatal wound. I’ve seen people killed with it. That still doesn’t make it a good choice, which is what I said.
