I have a Rock Mount bipod I like to occasionally use when shooting from the bench at the local range…however, it obviously adds a lot of weight to the weapon. I have a carbine with drop in quad rail, and space is rather limited on it.
What I am looking for is a picattiny rail that I can lock onto say the bayonet lug of my AR that I can keep mounted to the bipod, so I can just slide it on and off when I want it and when I dont.
Obviously it needs to lock on to the bayonet lug.
Anybody know of a good source for something like this?
I know you stated your rail space is limited, but have you checked out the Larue solution:

Doesn’t seem like it’d take up all that much space on the bottom of the rail, and it’d come off with the bipod, freeing up some real estate when not in use.
LaRue has been a primary thought in my mind for a while now…but I’d still prefer a cheaper route at this point…I just cant see spending nearly $90 on a mount for a bipod I spent $30 on 
And I’m a proud LaRue customer, too 
I found a nice little adapter at the gun show today…you knock out the front sling swivel, and it has two feet that reach around the bayonet lug from behind and a roll pin that you use to hold it in place where the sling swivel once was…
Its not a Quick Detach like I wanted, but it DOES allow me to have a bipod on my carbine without having the leg swivels cutting into my hand when I use the VFG…
