After waiting almost six months for a Geissele SSA, I got so sick of my crappy, creepy, gritty, stock trigger that I sent it to Bill Springfield (www.triggerwork.net).
I contacted Bill via e-mail to confirm that he’d be around and to ask for his mailing address. He responded within 24 hours.
I asked for the basic $35.- four-pound trigger job, and the $5 “speed hammer” modification.
I sent him my trigger parts and a check for $40 last Thursday, via USPS 1st class (NOT Priority).
My check was deposited Monday, and I received my trigger parts in the mail again today, so my trigger was out of my hands a week.
I just put my trigger back in my lower, and its 100% better. Dry-firing, it’s a nice crisp break, with no creep and no grit. I can’t wait for function testing this weekend…
I’d heard nothing but good things about Springfield (great results, fast turn around, etc.) before I sent off my trigger, and he exceeded my high expectations.
I don’t doubt that Geissele’s triggers are wonderful, but my trigger problem is now solved, and I’ve just e-mailed ADCO to cancel my order for an SSA.
