I will be using a GSE lower to put together an A3 kit. I want a 20" fluted barrel, A2 furniture, rail type gas block with std trigger. I have used Model 1 Sales stuff before with no problems even though members seem down on it. How about M&A, J&T, RRA, DPMS or Del-Ton? Any responses appreciated.
I don’t know your intended use.
I have no experience with Del-Ton or M&A. M&A is a board sponsor here for what that is worth.
I find RRA lowers, LPK and upper receivers (minus barrels and BCG) to be GTG.
I would stay away from the others mentioned.
If you just want to punch paper for the cheapest price possible, I’d look at used and for deals in the for sale section here.

P.S. If you search a little around here you can find some reasons to stay away from most of the ones you mentioned.
Going to put together a paper puncher/plinker. Not going into combat.
J&T or Del-ton…depending on what each one offers the options you want. I’d give them a call if you don’t see something you want listed on their websites.
Then of those mentioned, I’d go with the RRA kit. It’ll have a commerical buffer tube if you go with a collapsible stock (though that should be fine for your purpose), a 1x9 twist barrel which may or may not shoot some of the heavier grain loads OK. Check the staking on the gas key, you can stake it more if it needs it with a hammer and punch or the like. If you use a collapsible stock stake the castle nut. And shoot it. For punching paper, varmints, etc it’ll be GTG.
Enjoy building your rifle.

ntxt…
I wish to build a new lower for my 16" LMT upper.A friend suggested that I use a M-16 lower parts kit. My question… is there a difference in parts kits, I mean is a M-16 kit different than any other kit? I have seen DPMS M-16 kits but wish to stay away from them as most here say that DPMS is low end. Please define M-16 kits and provide a source to purchasing.
Thanks,Tim
