I just got an upper with the DD 7 inch rail. I need a sling mount for it. I have a MI heavy sling mount and swivel on my 416. Is there a setup that I am overlooking? I am going to be running a Vickers sling.
I’ve only had it out once, but I like the new Gear Sector QD socket so far…
Are you running rail panels on it and if so which brand/type? That would help determine which of the available mount options would work best for you.

What kind of attachment point do you want to use? QD swivel? HK hook? ITW mash?

I use a MI side rail QD mount in front and a Daniel Defense QD mount on the buffer tube with a Vickers 2 point Quick release sling.
The VTAC mount is a good recommendation for the 7" rail.
not to thread jack but i am running the same rail except i am using a ms2/asap combo, what do you all recommend for a front sling mount for that? thanks.
