What is the best AR for for when the SHTF? The most rugged, durable, AR that can run well with minimum cleaning. Which ar do you think would be the best, and most reliable, to save your life when the shtf?

The most important thing you will need in SHTF is an ability to fend for yourself and not have to rely on others. Before you worry about a rifle, I would work hard on honing that ability. So far you’re not doing too well.

Because you know me so well and the internet gives you a great indication of a beings self reliance. I asked a question about a rifle, don’t post anything if it has nothing to do with the topic.
Any top tier AR would be good to have.
The rest is all preference, taste and budget.

There have been dozens of threads on this topic already, which is why people suggest using the search button. Colt, BCM, DD, and Noveske come to mind for durable reliable guns. There are also others like KAC, LMT, Larue etc that are great as well. Using the search will find you a ton of good threads to read
Since you don’t seem to want to bother even looking at threads that have already been posted or trying that handy search button, I’d recommend you get a Red Jacket piston drive AR with a Slidefire stock and a bunch of mag couplers. Oh, and to keep with the Red Jacket theme Eotech just came out with a Red Jacket edition holo sight.
That set up should do you well.

I have to admit…usually I almost feel bad for guys that get ‘scolded’ when they post something far from great…but this question couldn’t be more vague or any more goofy. I mean seriously, there has to be about 100 other sites to post something like this.
