I have a T1 on my SR-25 EMC and am planning on mounting a scope for mid range shooting say around 500 yards max.Any good ideals on scopes?
I’m not sure of your budget, but from cqb distances to 600 meters my Swarovski z6i has been a killer. The brt reticle works great for this, it’s light and has daytime visible illumination. I use it on my EMC in carbine matches and I just completed Magpul Dynamics SPR class with it out to 600 meters.
The Leupold CQBSS, or the new MK 6 1-6. I am waiting on the MK 6 to come out.
Going to go with Swarovski Z6i.Thanks
I know I’m kinda resurrecting an older thread, but my vote goes for the ELCAN SpecterDR 1.5x-6x. Expensive, but this is THE best optic I have ever been lucky enough to own and use…BY FAR!!!
What other optics do you have equal or comparative experience with?
Typos brought to you via Tapatalk and autocorrect.
MK6 3-18 w/ tremor2
micro-t above or aside
I have had and sold the Leupold CQBSS with TMR.Did not care for it.Bought the MK6 3-18 but found it to heavy by the time I added a Trijicon RMR and mount for up close.Idid luv the scope.I have Sence had Marvin Pitts install the URX 3.1 and a MAMS brake and trying to decide on a MK 6 1-6 or maybe a Kahles1-6.I turn and burn with my EMC and need a scope for up close and something I can reach out to 800 yards while keeping my weapon light.By the way I had the Bobro QR mount for both my Leupolds and it was 13.6 oz and Sence went to a GDI QR.Just trying to make up my mind on the next scope.
That’s it…we can never be friends.

The CQBSS is only acceptable with the H27 reticle.
There are a few user groups that made a bad call on that one.
That being said, I can get about 90% of the performance of the 1.1-8x with a 1-6x, so if weight is an issue, I tend to go toward the 1-6s.
If long-range is the game, the Mk6 3-18x is great.
I personally prefer the H58 reticle, but there are plenty of good dudes doing good work with the Tremor 2.
It is not just the weight but also the cost of the CQBSS with H27.
Believe me, I understand.
I agree with you on the Leu 3-18 with the H-58 reticle,it is the best.I wish I would have not sold mine.I may end up buying another and just switching out with my Aimpoint for CQB.
I mainly run 0x red dot sites (Eotechs, Aimpoints), but I’ve had a couple nice Leupolds (mk4 was my favorite) to compare and contrast with…but will still take the ELCAN any day of the week over those.
Best optic setup ever.
Has anyone compared the SWFA SS 1-6 MRAD scope to the MK 6 1-6?
The SWFA looks great for the price.
Now only if my ECC would get here.
The Mk4 Leupy’s are remarked hunting scopes. The Mk6 and Mk8 scopes are true combat scopes. I seriously question anyone who would willingly add a Elcan 1.5-6 on anything but a garbage can.
Got to agree with Kevin.
Well, I added it…willingly. Any “questions”, feel free to ask.
