Best low profile folding back up sights?

For a backpack AR. Bobro? Kac? Normally I use troys

I dig the Magpul Pros.

If I were buying today I’d try the Bobro, but I’m happy enough with my Magpul Pros

Same here. I like the Pros a lot but I think my next sights will be Bobro

Troy. They are durable and work well. I have used them for years and have never had an issue.

Bobro’s even available yet?

The MP Pros don’t lock open. My friend liked them, but I moved them from a firing position with my pinky. I use troys.

I use a Magpul PRO front and KAC 2-6 rear. Both are great products and wouldn’t hesitate to use either again.

I’m a fan of the KAC Micros or the KAC Micro 2-600m rear with the KAC Mk18 front BUIS.

Ford v. Chevy, Hanes v. Fruit of the Loom, Roe v. Wade… take your pick. I have (2) sets of KAC sights, everything else was Troy. After I got my MBUS PRO sight set from Duane last year and tried them out, I was sold. Toolless adjustment, solid, with a good finish. I also prefer that the sights collapse in the event it is dropped or hits something. The price savings is also nice. I know have multiple sets of MBUS PRO sights.

I don’t have anything besides standard magpul bus. I will say that while I have confidence in them maintaining zero if I drop my rifle, I’m pretty sure I’m going to melt the front one to my rail one of these days due to all my rifles being suppressed.

How rugged is the primary optic?

I assume you know that MBUS PRO sights are made from steel and not polymer.

Oh, yeah. That’s why I mentioned I just have the standard ones, aka non pro. Just wanted to give my 2c about the standard one’s probably not being the one he would want.

Though actually thinking about, the standard magpul sights don’t really qualify as being low profile

I like the KAC 2-6 + MK18 front sight (99051) combo best. I’ve always had good luck with Troys as well. I want to try the Bobro on my next build.

First I’ve heard of the Bobros.

They are designed to both fit on the upper receiver rail? Is that correct?

I have a set of KAC micros, many Troy, and recently installed a set of MBUS Pros for a friend. I will be buying the MBUS Pro from now on.

Check out the Midwest Industries SPLP BUISs.

I saw them when they first came out. They are still a 200.00 per set of sights. I suppose if someone was overly Infatuated with weight they are good.

I don’t think there’s any substantial data to determine a “best”, mostly personal preference if you pick one of the industry leaders that have already been mentioned. I like KAC micros. I also have and like the 99051 Mk12/Mk18 front, but I prefer the smaller post on the 25654 micro.
