Best flat top brass catcher

I am looking for a good rail mounted brass catcher. Any Ideas? I got a cheap one, not happy with it.

This site has some pretty heavy duty ones.

I think that I found one heavy duty made by Tactical Brass Recovery in Multicam front rail mount with a locking lever made American Defense MFG/LLC. Any body here every tried one out and how do you like it?

My brass catcher is 10 years old and has the ability to sort brass by manufacturer, de-cap it and run it through the cleaning tumbler…

Love mine on my 6.8.

This one works great for me and sometimes it’s on sale for $24

My Avast anti virus won’t even let me visit that site. :frowning:

I use the 3bucc on 2 different carbines. The one you’re looking at, while large and bulky, solves 2 annoyances with the 3bucc:
Had to shave the mounting block down to clear a cantilevered scope mount.
And
The non-vented design of the 3bucc traps a lot of gas (suppressed use) which increases the annoyance of gas to eyes and nose.

Weird, try these:

I’ve used the tactical and the 3bucc aside from the hard case and cheapo nets. Right now I’m only using the tactical. I have one disappointment with it.
The fittings were not thread locked and after some time came loose. Lost the locking bar. Even so, it’s the best one I’ve used. I’d take a look at the tactical brass recovery.

With the 3bucc, while it was a solid mount like Capn I had issues under scopes, and using with different rifles. You need to buy several mounts. It’s not a huge cost but still. I didn’t like the velcro either. Not… expedient.

There was a member on here a year or two ago posting his design in the technical section of the ar threads. It looked like it would work well and I thought he was pre saleing them. I never heard anything else about them. They hooked on the flat top kind of like a rail cover. I’ll look and see if I can find his thread.

Here is the link. I posted in it to see if there is an update. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?157581-My-project-on-RocketHub&highlight=Brass+catcher

I’ve got the Caldwell and it’s held up well for a year now. EZ on and off to switch between guns with an extra mounting plate.

Thanks for bumping that thread, I wanted to get in on his crowdfunding thing but never got around to it. I pm’d him and should have one of his models incoming shortly.

This B&T is the best brass catcher made, but it ain’t cheap.
