Any suggestions on the best quality small sized data books for long range shooting? MOA pocket log charts and all other types of manual entry document? I prefer the waterproof type. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Since I’m a cheap ass, I just use online data as a baseline and collect field data in a Rite-in the Rain 4x6" book, they make a folder for them that will hold pens, etc. Use JBM online calculators, I find they are really accurate with correct input. Take the data to Office max and have them laminated (about 2.50 per 8.5x11" sheet). Use the last few pages as a shot log and the first few for reference pages, like load data, dope, etc. I take the JBM, copy into a Word document and size it to whatever size I need, whether it be a small reference hanging off the scope or larger to place into the folder. You can customize your data however you like it. Less than 30 and you have what you need and a replacement notebook is cheap.

You even get a pen! And unless you like proving you can shoot in the rain, a regular pen or a pencil works as well. You can find these elsewhere, check a college bookstore, they usually have these and other items for Engineering, etc. students-neat little templates also if you like drawing your target shapes verses free scribble

So, saved you about 100+ since you would end up buying pre-printed data cards, density altitude calculators, covers, etc. --spend it on reloading equipment
