Best Buffer for 12.5" SBR
-Will not be firing suppressed
-Mostly shooting 5.56 ammo, some .223.

I would bet the word will be it depends on what size your gas port opening is…with that said my 12.5" is running a standard buffer and although it has ran 5.56mm flawless since day one in was not locking back on the last round at times with .223. That cleared up within the first 200 rounds and has been running flawless since.

-Interested in what others are running too.

Knowing the manufacturer of barrel or upper would be nice. Having said that my guess is based on what I know it should run w/o issues with at least an H2.

Will likely be running a Centurion Arms Light barrel or a Noveske Upper with the 12.5" Light (CL) barrel.

I can’t think of an SBR scenario that wouldn’t be optimal with the VLTOR A5.
