I want a flash hider that blacks out the flash like a Vortex from smith enterprises and quick detaches suppressors. Are the hiders different for each suppressor?
The AAC model that came with My AAC suppressor is pretty nice. But it “pings” like a tuning fork.
Yes, the flash suppressors are unique to each “fast attach” suppressor. The only exception to that are the few suppressors that will mount to a birdcage or some (like the Gemtech HALO) will mount to “some” versions of the Vortex. Smith Enterprises even makes a suppressor that mounts to the Vortex.
The AAC Blackout is the best flash suppressor I have personally used in low/no light conditions. SureFire has a flash suppressor that is pretty darn good too and close in performance to the AAC product.
The pinging associated with the Blackout, in my personal experience, dampens a bit once the FS gets some fouling on it. I have personally never been bothered by the slight ringing but other guys seem to really be annoyed by it. The ringing is more noticeable if you are shooting with electronic hearing protection since the ring gets amplified.

Buy a Gemtech G5. They now have a Vortex mount for attaching the G5.
Sounds like this is exactly what you want.
SEI makes units that can work for the KAC cans (shortened), for OPS Inc (non-FA, but the SBV works as a thread-on replacement for the OPS brake), and now the Gemtech bilock model.
The SF compensator unit looks good - too bad the gucci crowd isn’t big enough to justify a 556FA adaptor with a triple tap brake on it.
Generally I think that flash hiders are a bad idea for suppressed guns. (Suppressor service life issue.)
But if I had to pick one it would be SureFire, or KAC.
What are you talking about?
You need a flashhider on the weapon, when the suppressor is not in place.
If you are infering that a muzzle brake would act as more “protection” for the suppressor baffles, that might be true, but the service life of a 5.56 mm / 7.62 mm suppressor will be more limited by the amount of fouling inside, than actual wear or erosion in the baffles in most cases.

I don’t see how this how could be true. Please explain the science behind it.
A muzzle break (like the SF MB556K) acts like the first baffle and breaks up the blast of hot gas and powder from hitting the first baffle in the can. This extends the life of the can.
I have seen SF K cans with the same round count as mine, but they used the FH556-212. Their first baffle was erroding. Mine is perfect.

No and the sides of the can are much thicker than your baffles.

From the night shooting I’ve attended, with and without NV, the AAC Blackout is the best suppressor mount flash suppressor available. You would have to decide if the M4-1000, M4-2000, 762SD, or M4/SPR is a good fit for you though as their blackout mounts only work with their cans.
Because the mounts are specific for each silencer you will need to decide what silencer/mount you want.
This is the reason my 10.5" is going to run a muzzle brake - consider that the particulates coming out of the barrel will themselves be traveling very fast and be very hot - service life of the first baffle is something that will be important over the life of the can (though pretty unimportant for something that doesn’t see high round counts). This is the only reason I’m even comfortable putting a cylindrical investment on such a short barrel.
In daytime fighting. I’m sure muzzle flash isn’t going to matter much.
In night fighting, I can’t see a reason not to run a suppressor.

Honestly though. If I’m going Flash Hider. I’d go with KAC, or SureFire.
ETA: Would a compensator do the same thing a muzzle brake would do?
